Mary L. Athey is the founding attorney and owner of The Legal Quill. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida. She is a family law attorney and Guardian ad Litem licensed to practice in Colorado state courts since 2012. She provides limited legal services in a variety of areas, from simple wills to complex divorce packages.
In addition to her practice of law, Attorney Athey has served as a member of Weld County Legal Services and Access to Justice Coalition, the Weld County Homeless Coalition, and the Weld County Domestic Violence Coalition. She has also been an IBMC adjunct faculty member teaching family law courses and a volunteer presenter at various events on family law issues, self-represented coordination, and criminal record sealing.
